Notice: From 1st of July 2022 onwards, you are no longer required to apply for a Thailand Pass
Malagasy passport holders need to apply for a visa to enter Thailand.
As Madagascar no longer has a Local Thai Consulate, the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria will grant visas for non-SA residents, only for these countries (if the applicant is not in South Africa at the time of the application):
Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Swaziland, South Africa, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
If you require further information regarding other types of Visa, you can visit the website of the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria here
You may have to show vaccination documents or negative test results if unvaccinated. This will continue while the emergency decree remains.
When you have collected and completed all the documents, you are required to contact the Royal Thai Embassy and send a scan of the documents for them to verify that you have all the required documents.
Once they give you their approval, you have to send the original documents along with your passport by courier (DHL, UPS, etc) to the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria.
