The Ministry of Public Security is the only duly authorized Administration in charge of issuing passport in Madagascar.
Due to the processing time, all request of renewal shall be submitted at least 3 months before the expiration date of the passport.
For children under 21 years old:
- A parental authorization from both the father and mother to issue a passport for the child. To be certified.
- A copy of the National ID card of the parents, to be certified.
- The Embassy will issue an individual residence certificate for each applicant.
Documents to submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar
- All paperwork shall be submitted by the applicant’s relatives in Madagascar to the Ministry of foreign Affairs (“Direction de la Diaspora, porte 132, Ministère des Affaires étrangères, 1 rue Andriamifidy, Anosy, Antananarivo 101”) for validation and submission to Ministry of Public Security.
- Proof of payment of the passport renewal fee of 190.000 Ar issued by the Ministry of Public Security (Service of Passport) **
- The applicant’s relatives in Madagascar can pick up the new passport with a proxy letter at the Ministry of Public Security (Service in charge of Passport).
(*) Consular Card: if an applicant does not have a consular card, or if it has expired, he/she has to fill out the “Fiche d’immatriculation consulaire” form and send it to the Embassy of Madagascar in Beijing along with two (2) passport size photos.
